What is Fetal Photo?
Fetal Photo is a service offered by Women’s Care Center offering 2D, 3D, and 4D fetal photos of your unborn baby. Fetal Photo is different from standard ultrasounds because our physicians do not review the images. Therefore, a screening ultrasound must be performed to show fetal anatomy prior to a Fetal Photo session.
Package Includes:
(2) 3D color prints(4) 2D black/white thermal prints
(1) CD with all of the fetal photos
(1) DVD with 15 minutes of video (which may include 4D images)
We also offer a limited “gender scan” as early as 16 weeks gestation. With this option, only black and white thermal prints will be given.
Cost
First session: $190.00*Second session: $142.50 (25% discount)
Three or more sessions: $114.00 (40% discount)
Gender scan: $50.00**
An $80 non-refundable deposit is required at the time the session is scheduled. The balance is to be paid at the time of the Fetal Photo session. If adequate 3D pictures cannot be obtained, you will only be provided with the thermal prints, a CD with all of the pictures, and a video DVD.
*Patients of Women’s Care Center will receive a 20% discount off the standard rate.
**Gender scans are available as early as 16 weeks gestation. With this option, only black and white thermal prints will be given.
Preparation
For any Fetal Photo session other than the gender scan, we require that a prior screening ultrasound be performed showing fetal anatomy. If this has not been performed by Women’s Care Center, a copy of the report is required prior to your Fetal Photo session.
All clients must sign a liability waiver prior to the photo session. The images obtained during your Fetal Photo session are for entertainment purposes only. A physician will not review the images for any medical purpose.
Getting Started
You can schedule a Fetal Photo session by calling the Women’s Care Center Ultrasound Department at 859.278.0363 ext. 1630. Up to five family members or friends may be present during the session. Your session will last about 30 minutes. The best time for a Fetal Photo session is after 26 weeks. Limited scans for gender can be done anytime after 15 weeks.
