Why did you go into OB/GYN?
I love my job. I love the incredibly personal nature of obstetrics and gynecology in all stages of a woman’s life. I enjoy being able to discuss birth control, sexual health and body awareness issues with teens. I love answering questions and helping patients understand such things as preconception counseling, contraception, infertility and abnormal pap smears. I love being a part of one of the most special times in a woman’s life - pregnancy and delivery - to be able to celebrate with families their new additions! I love helping women through the very difficult transition into menopause, tackling hot flashes, irregular bleeding, depression and loss of sexual desire. I love surgery. Whether it is a cesarean section, laparoscopy or hysterectomy, I find it rewarding to be able to help take care of a patient’s unique gynecologic surgical needs. Why I would choose to become an OB/GYN? My answer will always be the same. I love my job.
