Surgical Services 
Women’s Care Center offers a wide variety of minor and major surgical procedures which can be performed in our offices. These procedures include biopsies, colposcopy (a procedure to closely examine your cervix to identify the source of the abnormal cells), Leep procedures (to help diagnose and treat abnormal cervical cells), and a breast cyst aspiration (to drain fluid from a cyst to find out if the lump you feel is a cyst or a tumor). The Halo Breast Pap Test (a quick, safe, noninvasive method for obtaining breast fluid for laboratory examination of atypical cells) is available in the offices of Dr. Guiler and Dr. Hager.
The majority of the major surgeries that we now do in gynecology are done in a "minimally invasive" fashion, (sometimes called laparoscopic surgery). That means we are able to do procedures such as a hysterectomy for example, with incisions as small as 5mm and accomplish the same results that used to require a large incision called a laparotomy.
