Q:  Who needs an annual exam?
A:   Regardless of age,we recommend an annual exam for all women,. During a typical annual exam, a general physical examination (which includes a breast exam and pelvic exam) is performed.  As part of your annual exam, certain tests may be recommended (i.e. PAP smear, mammogram, cholesterol, colonoscopy, bone density).  Be sure to tell us if you have any new problems or concerns since your last annual visit.

Q:  Why would I need a follow up exam?
A:   Follow up exams may be scheduled at varying intervals in order to re-evaluate problems such as abnormal bleeding, uterine enlargement, ovarian cysts, chronic pain, response to medications, review of tests ordered, etc.

Q:  What if I am having a problem and need to be seen immediately?
A:   If you are experiencing symptoms that cannot wait until your next  exam, we will make every effort work you in immediately to be seen the same day.
